A Day in the Life of a Little Baby: A Photo Gallery

Updated on January 24, 2015

A New Born Life!

Is there anything more adorable in all the world than a baby? I recently became an aunt and I can tell you one thing for sure...becoming an aunt is WAY more fun than becoming a mom! Aunties get to hold sweet babies. They get to play with, talk to, and rock babies in their arms: then give baby back to the exhausted parents and go home to get a good night's sleep. Ah, what a wonderful world this is!

Here is my little gallery of several, very little, babies:

Today I was born and all I can say is...what was that all about? So much commotion! You folks should be ashamed of yourselves, disturbing a little baby's sleep like that. I was resting peacefully when, all of a sudden, there was all this pushing and shoving. Then I was squished, cold, hungry and I had to breath all by myself.

Boy, was I mad! I started to howl and surprised myself with how loud I could be. Wow!

But now I am exhausted, so I think it is time for a little nap.

My mother likes to dress me up in these pink, frilly things. She sings to me and makes all these little cooing noises. Mom and Dad both keep saying that I'm soooo beautiful. Hmmm...I wonder what that means anyway? It must mean something pretty good because she keeps holding me and feeding me, which makes me very happy...and sleepy.

Is it nap time yet?

Poooooooooooooop!

I just love the sound of that word. C'mon everyone, say it with me: poo-ooo-oooop!

Top Baby Girl Name: Ella

I was very busy today. I opened my eyes, saw a bunch of blurry shapes, then closed my eyes. It was such hard work.

But that's not all, I also dirtied about 14 diapers today. 14 in one day! I think that's my new record. Although, I guess everything is a new record at this point in my life.

Man-oh-man, I have had an exhausting day, so now it's time for me to get my beauty rest. Nighty-night!

Going...

going...

gone.

Uggghhh! What new horror is this? Now I've got gas! Yes, that is what they called it. Who invented such a horrible thing? Why are you laughing? It's NOT funny.

Top Baby Girl Name: Sophia

Hey, I think my eyes are working a little bit better now. "Instead of big, dark blurs, I think I see big, light blurs." (I borrowed that from Han Solo in Star Wars, my mom loves Star Wars.)

I can also stay awake for quite a while now, at least 3 hours. I like to stay awake at night when it is way, too quiet. That's when I really get my groove on. Ya know?

And I've discovered a new and great thing called "bathtub time." Bath tub time rocks! The only part I don't like is getting out of the tub...brrrrr.

Top Baby Boy Name: Liam

My Mom doesn't put that mamby-pamby, pink stuff on me. I'm a big guy! I like to eat big, burp big, poop big and then sleep: big, long, sleeps. Do not bother me when I am sleeping or you will regret it. I only look like an angel.
